Located at the center of Baguio City,
this Cathedral has its own beauty.
I'm not that educated on church
architecture but I can tell that
its style is quite modern... :)

Taken during the Adventure Race we joined last
year. It was a fun race.. tiring but fun! We went
around Metro Manila running and biking. I still
got to take some shots during the race hehe
No pressure on us to win... We just wanted to
finish the race.. and we did!

bonding

Friday, September 24, 2004

Brgy. Hugom, Batangas (Sony DSC-P52)

Perhaps we'll never understand each other.
Loving doesn't mean that we agree.
If that were so, then I would say, why bother?
But there are things I know I'll never see.
I'm sure your heart knows what I don't yet know:
The pain of loving a reluctant son;
The anger, coming fast and building slow,
Of being helpless to control someone.
You want only that I grow up right,
But you know what right is, and I still don't.
I have to learn to wield my inner light,
And if I follow yours, well, then I won't.
I'm sorry for the anger in the air;
Though we fight, my love is always there.

raftman

Thursday, September 23, 2004

San Miguel, Bulacan (Sony DSC-P52)

We rode this raft made up of bamboo
to cross the river. The man controlled
the raft by just using a long bamboo.
We had a little adventure when his
bamboo broke while we were crossing.
It was a good thing the current brought
us on the side and we threw a long rope
to an old woman who used all her
strength to hold the raft! Whew...she
was pretty strong! Thanks to her!

Quiapo, Manila (Holga 120F)

This reminded me of the movie Edwards Scissorhands.
It's a great movie with great characters.

I like how this certain part of Manila
was remodelled and beautified.
Now people can walk along the street
surrounded by old buildings. But sadly,
they painted them with bright pastel colors.
I like their old look and feel better.

Thanks to dav for letting me take one shot

This cat was not moving at all while I was
taking this shot. The cat was shy but modest
enough to pose.

Baler, Aurora (Canon EOS50)

In memory of Alisa (1978-2004)

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Ode To A Friend
In just a blink of an eye
Everything changes
Nothing is permanent
Be happy for the sky...
for the sun...
even for the rain
Time spent
No matter how short
Is priceless!

That's my shadow on the water.

I'm soooo sleepy right now!

Mt. Batulao - Nasugbu, Batangas (Canon EOS50)

We went to Mt. Batulao last weekend. The trail
was really hot (as always!). Most of us climbed
this mountain already that's why we expected the
heat. The climb was also our friend's bday climb.
Thanks Zoe for the TEQUILA and bus fare!!!

I finished 2 rolls of film during the climb. This
shot is my fave! To see the rest of the pics,

I guess tourism is an easy money for
them.

Somewhere in Bulacan (Sony DSC P-52)

This shot was taken inside the van
while going to Bulacan. I woke up
from sleep and here's what I saw
immediately... Nice!

"The magic of travel is that…
you leave your home secure
in your own knowledge and identity.
But as you travel,
the world in all its richness intervenes,
You meet people you could not invent.
You see scenes you could not imagine.
Your own world,
which was so large as to consume your whole life
becomes smaller and smaller
until it’s only one tiny dot in space and time.
You return a different person. "
